Happy Holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We are still out of town visiting my parents. It was nice to get to see some of my friends this past week. And of course eat food. LOTS of food. Unfortunately, I don’t have my sewing machine and I haven’t done much sewing. I was asked by my boyfriend’s mom to make a quilted bookmark that she is going to send to Japan as a gift. I had some scraps from the blue zig zag quilt I’m working on and I whipped one up:

It was nice and quick!
I did work on the zig zag quilt a bit before I left town. I have all the half square triangles done and arranged. I just need to sew them up. I’m not happy with the way one of the fabrics looks, it’s a bit too gray with the rest but I like it individually so I think I’m going to keep it in there…
While in Ohio, I checked out Stitch, Piece n’ Purl. I haven’t been there in years. They don’t have a huge selection but they had a few Moda designs on sale that I liked. I also found some inspiration in a napkin and am working on a pattern. I’m thinking something green and gray.
